Miitek started in 1999 after the principals had gained extensive experience developing and implementing a commercial application for a leading provider for the Utility CIS market. We started Miitek because we saw an unmet market opportunity to provide implementation services with continuity of resources allocated for the entire lifecycle of the project.
We have implemented billing systems in both the utilities and financial services industries filling key roles such as technical lead, DBA, functional lead, test manager and conversion lead. We have had projects throughout the United States, in Barbados, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
In addition to implementation projects, we also assist companies with strategic initiatives such as assessing the state of their current billing solution and planning for the implementation of new technologies into their core business.
Our focus is on preventing as well as detecting defects through constant verification of requirements during every project phase and incorporating best practices in the solution development. Studies show that as much as 85% of software defects are introduced by ambiguous or missing requirements and that the cost of addressing these defects grows exponentially in each subsequent phase of a project. Our constant attention to understanding, clarifying and validating requirements helps us achieve on time delivery and on budget solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
